The Companies Act will be amended as of July 1, 2018.

With effect from 1 July 2018, the Companies Act has been amended in several respects.

1. From now on, a limited liability company can be established for DKK 400,000 (previously DKK 500,000). This also means that existing limited liability companies can reduce their share capital if this is beneficial.
2. SMBA and FMBA can in future be converted into limited liability companies.
3. When converting an IVS to an ApS, it can now be done both as a contribution in kind by depositing both cash and other values (previously, only cash could be used).
4. Companies that have not registered who the real owners of the company are, risk being forcibly dissolved in the future.
