Paragraf Advokaterne ApS updates its personal data policy so that it complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR, which came into force on May 25, 2018.

  1. The purposes and legal basis for the processing of your personal data


We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • For case processing regarding your specific case, litigation, debt collection, obtaining documents and pursuing legal claims.
  • The legal basis for our processing of your personal data follows from:
  • Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation, which requires us to process personal data in the points mentioned in paragraphs 1-4 of the article.
    Including the rules in the Money Laundering Act and other laws and regulations that require us to process your information. In addition, your personal information is processed with your consent to processing.


Legitimate interests pursued by the processing:

As mentioned above, our processing of your personal data is based on the balancing of interests rule in Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The legitimate interests that justify the processing are to pursue a legitimate interest where the interests of the data subject do not outweigh this interest.

We process the following categories of personal data about you, as defined in Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • General personal information
  • Social Security Numbers
  • Criminal convictions and offenses (if collected)
  • Sensitive personal data (if collected)

We disclose or transfer your personal data to the following recipients:

  • Relevant recipients in relation to the specific case. For example, the police, other public authorities, advisors, lawyers or data processors.

Your information is obtained partly from your own provided information, as well as publicly available sources or possibly information provided by the counterparty.

  1. Storage of your personal data


We cannot currently say how long we will store your personal data. However, we can inform you that we will consider the provisions of the Danish Accounting Act on the duration of storage when determining how long your information will be stored.

  1. Automated decisions, including profiling


We use automated decision-making, including profiling, for any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of using personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyse or predict aspects concerning the natural person's performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, geographical location or movements.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us using the contact details provided above in point 1.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, it will not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal data based on your previously given consent up to the time of withdrawal. Therefore, if you withdraw your consent, it will only take effect from that time.

Right to see information (right of access)
You have the right to access the information we process about you, as well as a number of additional information.

In special cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before the time of our regular general deletion occurs.

Right to restriction of processing
In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you have the right to have the processing restricted, we may in future only process the data – with the exception of storage – with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or to protect a person or important public interests.

Right to object
You have the right to object to our or lawful processing of your personal data in certain cases. You can also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

Right to transmit information (data portability)
In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this personal data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.
