One of the joys of being an experienced law firm is hunting through the vaults of our library and seeing what older books are hidden away. Today we came across this one. A guide to legal fees from 1958. The book is very detailed, but we were particularly struck by the fact that back then the fee for advice on a real estate transaction was calculated “somewhat” differently than today.
At that time, the lawyer's fee in Copenhagen amounted to 1% of the purchase price, and in commission 1% of the first 100,000 DKK and 6 per thousand of the rest, with a minimum of 50 DKK.
