Claimed case won at Western High Court

The Western High Court has today ruled in another case regarding both property claims and right of way in favor of our clients. Attorney (H) Søren Vasegaard Andreasen has been handling the case for our clients since 2020.

The case concerned two city properties in Skagen, which are currently used as summer homes. Both houses had new owners during 2019, and the new owners disagreed about where the boundary between the properties was and whether the neighbor had a right of way over our clients' property.

The case is a classic example of how extensive a lawsuit can be. The case has lasted 2 years, which has included 2 inspections in Skagen, including a boundary transaction. 3 court days at the Court in Hjørring and 1 court day at the Western High Court. However, it is usually a little faster to complete lawsuits about boundaries and claims.

Our clients were fully successful in finding that the neighbor had not won a claim to any part of our clients' property, even though fences erected might indicate otherwise. However, the previous owners of the neighboring property had never used the disputed area and thus a claim was excluded.

If you want to know more about claims, you can read more on our website under The neighborhood.
